High Cultured T-Shirt Design Competition 2024

Contest Summary and Objective

This contest is intended to solicit Artwork under the theme ‘High Cultured’ for T-shirts designs which may or may not be merchandised by High Cultured. No purchase is necessary to enter the contest. After reviewing the entries, High Cultured will select winning designs. The winning artworks may or may not be merchandised and sold through High Cultured-branded stores.

 

Entry Guidelines and Responsibilities

Entry Instructions: 

  1. Submit your design via Instagram by publishing it on your feed,
  2. Ensure your Instagram account is set to public throughout the competition and review periods. High Cultured will not be responsible for any missed submissions due to private accounts,
  3. Tag @highcultured in your image, and
  4. Use the hashtags #highcultured #stayhigh #highculturedcontest2024 in your caption.

Acceptance and Consent:
By entering the Contest, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the Rules and all entry instructions form part of the Rules. If an entrant is a minor under the laws of their country of domicile, such entrant will be deemed to have obtained the consent of the entrant’s parent or guardian prior to the submission of their entry.

Accuracy of Submission:
Entrants shall be responsible for accuracy of the data submitted for their entries and shall submit the data by themselves. 

Disqualification and Exclusion:
High Cultured reserves the right at its sole discretion not to consider, and exclude or disqualify any entry without prior notice, where: 

  1. the entrant is and/or was deemed to be acting/ have acted in violation of the Rules, or abusing or tampering with the operation of the Rules; 
  2. the information which entrants submitted include sensitive topics (3R); or 
  3. any other reason that High Cultured considers in its sole and absolute discretion as being inappropriate to accept an entry. 
     

Detailed rules of the Contest

Submission period:
19 SEP 2024 until 11:59 PM MYT, 03 NOVEMBER 2024

Eligibility: 
The Contest is open to Malaysians of all ages, currently staying in Malaysia. Entrants under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. 

Selection Process:
High Cultured team will review all submitted designs and select the winners based on creativity and alignment with the contest theme. High Cultured decision is final, and no correspondence for appeal will be entertained. 

Winners Notification:
The winners will be notified via High Cultured official Instagram account (@highcultured) through posts and stories. Notifications will be sent between 25 NOV 2024 - 30 NOV 2024.

Merchandising of Winning Designs:
High Cultured may or may not merchandise the winning artworks on t-shirts. The decision rests solely with High Cultured. 

Prizes:
The prizes as detailed above are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
All cash vouchers are non-replaceable if lost, valid for a one-time redemption and applicable only to original-priced item(s) at all High Cultured Concept Stores, except IOI City Mall, Putrajaya.

Right to Modify and Terminate:
High Cultured reserves the right to adjust the contest period, prize values, or other terms without prior notice in the case of unforeseen circumstances. Additionally, High Cultured reserves the right to terminate the competition at any time without prior notice.

Voting Process Clarifications:
If public voting is involved, it will constitute 30% of the final decision, while the High Cultured team’s evaluation will make up the remaining 70%.

Judging Criteria:
Winning designs will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Originality: 40%
  • Creativity: 30%
  • Relevance to High Cultured brand: 20%
  • Visual appeal: 10%

Ownership of Artwork:
By submitting your design, you agree that High Cultured retains exclusive ownership rights to all winning designs. Non-winning designs remain the intellectual property of the respective creators.

Privacy Policy:
Participants' personal data will be handled according to High Cultured Privacy Policy. All data provided will be used strictly for the contest and will not be shared with third parties.

Submission Requirements
Winners will be required to provide their Original Artwork in one of the accepted formats listed below: 

  • Your artwork must be an ORIGINAL DESIGN and featured on black or white T-shirt only. Shortlisted entries will need to submit their artwork in the following formats:
    1. Ai (Adobe Illustration)
    2. PSD (Adobe Photoshop)
  • For Vector-Based Art:
    1. Create Font Outline
    2. Select applicable Pantone colors
  • For Photographic/ 4CP Artwork:
    1. Must be on transparent background
    2. Artwork must at least 300 DPI
  • If the Artwork contains linked and vector based images, make sure they are included in the submission.

  • File Size Limit:
    Digital file submissions must not exceed 300MB.

Representation and Warranty

Entrants represent, warrant, or covenant as follows with respect of the submission of their Artwork: 

  1. The Artwork is an entirely original work of the entrant. 

  2. Entrants have not entered into any agreement with any third party that contradicts or infringes upon any of the provisions of the Rules or any other terms and conditions provided by High Cultured in connection with the Contest. 

  3. Entrants hold exclusive legal rights to the Artwork. 

  4. Under no circumstances does the Artwork infringe upon the rights of any third parties, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, publicity, privacy or reputation. 

  5. The Artwork was created solely for the Contest, and the Artwork has never been published before, in any form or on any platform. 

  6. Entrants have not and will not use artificial intelligence to generate any parts of the Artwork. 

  7. Entrants will not: 
    1. use images, illustrations, or statements in their Artworks related to alcohol consumption, smoking, excessive violence, offensive language, political or religious contents, or implicit or explicit sexual remarks; 
    2. use representations that include, evoke, imitate specific individuals or intellectual properties belonging to other third parties, including but not limited to characters, brands, logos, images, illustrations, styles, compositions and linguistic expressions, regardless of whether such use is with or without approvals from licensors.

If the Artwork contains any personal information (including images of living individuals), the entrant has obtained written permission from the individual(s) to use such Information for the purposes of the Contest (such permission must be provided upon request).
